We partnered with leading Webflow Enterprise partner MakeBuild on Sky's new employee recognition platform, Ignite. Our role was to turn the product direction into a clear technical plan and act as a subject matter expert across data modelling, Webflow Cloud design, API design, and technical architecture.

Challenge
Ignite needed a technical foundation that was clear enough for multiple teams to align around, but pragmatic enough to support real delivery inside the constraints of Webflow Cloud, Memberstack, and a serverless architecture. The challenge was not just defining the stack, but documenting how authentication, data flow, permissions, badge rules, and synchronisation should work in practice.
Approach
We produced the technical documentation as the single source of truth for the platform and worked as a hands-on technical advisor throughout the design. That included shaping the data model, defining the API and worker responsibilities, mapping authentication and authorisation flows, designing the Webflow Cloud and D1 architecture, and documenting operational concerns such as deployment, logging, indexing, and user synchronisation from Memberstack.
Outcome
The result was a much clearer implementation blueprint for Ignite. Sky and MakeBuild had a documented architecture they could build against, with technical decisions made explicit across platform structure, data integrity, role handling, and backend workflow design.
